Who are we?
Who will look after your home while you're away?
We are Dirk and Paula, a Dutch couple who spend a large part of the year travelling across Europe. We work remotely, enjoy peace, nature and animals, and feel most at home in places where space, privacy and trust are valued.
When you are away, we take care of your home, garden and pets with the same care and attention as if they were our own. We are not tourists, but responsible temporary residents who understand how important it is to have someone keeping an eye on your property.
As entrepreneurs, we are used to working independently, solving problems and taking good care of other people's belongings. For many homeowners, the biggest concern is not simply whether someone is present, but whether they can leave their home, pets and keys with complete peace of mind. That is exactly what we aim to provide.
Working remotely
Because we work remotely, we spend a lot of time at the location where we stay. This means your home remains lived in and small issues are often noticed before they become bigger problems.
Whether it's a leaking tap, an internet connection that stops working or a delivery arriving at the door, there is someone there who can take action when needed.
Your pets receive personal attention
We have experience with dogs, cats, chickens and other pets. We understand that pets are family members and deserve the same love, attention and routine they are used to.
During your absence, we provide daily care, attention and structure so you can travel with complete peace of mind.

With backgrounds in IT, coaching, training, graphic design and the healthcare sector, we bring a wide range of practical experience.

We start with a no obligation conversation by video call, phone or, if possible, in person. This gives us the opportunity to get to know each other and discuss your home, pets and expectations.
Meeting at your home
If possible, we like to meet you at your home before your departure. This gives us time to become familiar with your home, your pets and the local area, while making sure everything is clear before you leave.
While you're away
We live in your home, care for your pets and make sure everything runs smoothly. Small issues are often noticed before they become bigger problems. We stay in touch and are happy to send regular updates and photos if you wish.
Returning home
You return to a home that has been lived in and well cared for, with happy pets and the reassurance that everything has been looked after. That way, you can simply enjoy your trip, knowing everything back home was in good hands.

How does your house sitting work?
In many situations, we stay in your home without charging a fee. In return, we take care of your home, pets and day to day responsibilities while you're away. Every house sit is different, so we always discuss the details beforehand to make sure expectations are clear for everyone.
How long can you stay?
That depends on our travel schedule and your location. We are available for anything from a few days to several weeks or even a few months. Feel free to get in touch to discuss your plans.
Do you have experience with different types of animals?
Yes. We have experience caring for dogs, cats, chickens and other domestic animals. We are also open to discussing the care of horses and other animals, provided the daily routine is clearly explained beforehand.
Where are you available?
France is our preferred destination, but we are also happy to consider house sits in other European countries, including Spain, Portugal, Belgium and Germany.
What do you do during the day?
We both work remotely from our own businesses. This means we spend a lot of time at the property, allowing us to give your home, pets and surroundings the attention they deserve.
What happens if something goes wrong?
If anything unexpected happens, we contact you straight away. Whenever possible, we deal with small issues ourselves. If outside assistance is needed, we will always discuss it with you first before taking further action.
Can we meet before the house sit?
Absolutely. Finding the right match is important for both of us. We are happy to arrange a video call, a phone call or, whenever possible, meet in person before confirming a house sit.
Are you available for longer stays during winter?
Yes. Autumn and winter are actually the seasons when we often look for longer house sits while continuing to work remotely. Longer stays fit our lifestyle perfectly.
Where do you stay during a house sit?
We live in the home while caring for it. This allows us to be there for your pets, keep an eye on your property and respond quickly if anything needs attention.
